In our last class, Kathleen Varner mentioned the Japanese concept of Wabi-sabi. Wabi-sabi represents a comprehensive Japanese world view or aesthetic centered on the acceptance of transience. Enjoying the seeming imperfection of something or someone as being a perfect experience. Enjoying perfectly in the now something seemingly imperfect, incomplete, unfinished. I love this. Be here now, as Ram Dass said so long ago. As Yogananda said: "Live each moment completely and the future will take care of itself. Fully enjoy the wonder and beauty of each moment."
Which reminded me of this writing from the December page of the Blessed Be Celtic Calendar:
World Without End
By all measure we find ourselves set now
In mighty times, days filled with signs and portents, nights with quiet dread.
So pay heed and attend:
When the frozen seas start melting and waves begin to rise, when everywhere men’s fortunes disappear before their eyes, when all our works are failing as though built on shifting sand, something new is close at hand.
The ages keep on passing like falling autumn leaves,
and the Lord upon his loom of time another pattern weaves.
Iron was cold and rigid, so we must learn now to bend, learn all things have their limit, but only One Thing has no end. Seize quickly now the silver branch and take your destined part, and while the old world crumbles, just work to mend the heart.
The ages keep on passing like falling autumn leaves,
and the Lord upon his loom of time another pattern weaves.
Honor the earth as mother and find your own true ground; let starlight shine upon your path, white blossoms be your crown. Let spirit seek its master and find the One True Friend. Know every end as a beginning, but seek a World Without and End.
The ages keep on passing like falling autumn leaves,
and the Lord upon his loom of time another pattern weaves.
Everything changes, except the good.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves. "Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?" Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God (an individualized part of the Good). Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened abour shrinking so that people won't feel insecure around you. We are meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God (Good) that is within us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine. we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we're liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
Love is what we are born with. Fear is what we learn. The spiritual journey is the unlearning of fear and prejudices and the acceptance of love back in our hearts. Love is the essential reality and our purpose on earth. To be consciously aware of it, to experience love in ourselves and others, is the meaning of life. Meaning does not lie in things. Meaning lies in us. -- Marianne Williamson

I like the quote from Abraham today. Pretty much sums up what we talk about in my metaphysics classes: Thinking so makes it so, Like Produces Like (Law of Attraction). The vibration you send out returns to you multiplied. When we understand we are in the power position by the thoughts we send out, we understand how we are unaffected by people, conditions and things.
Each and every component that makes up your life experience is drawn to you by the powerful Law of Attraction's response to the thoughts you think and the story you tell about your life. Your money and financial assets; your body's state of wellness, clarity, flexibility, size, and shape; your work environment, how you are treated, work satisfaction, and rewards—indeed, the very happiness of your life experience in general—is all happening because of the story that you tell.

The Universe is abundant with everything that you want. It's not testing you. It's benevolently providing for you. But you are the orchestrater. You are the definer, and you do it through your joyous anticipation. If there is an emotion that you are wanting to foster, that would serve you very, very well, it is positive expectation. It is excited anticipation.
