Yearning for a new way will not produce it. Only ending the old way can do that. You cannot hold onto the old all the while declaring that you want something new. The old will defy the new; the old will deny the new; the old will decry the new. There is only one way to bring in the new. You must make room for it.
-Neale Donald Walsch
Sometimes the “old” we hold onto is our unwillingness to receive. We all ask for help, and Spirit always answers, in some way. Maybe not the way we would like or imagine, but there is always an answer. There has to be, without fail.
We are indivisibly connected, a part of Spirit, the Universe. I think of the Universe as a tapestry and everything in the Universe including us, are all the threads. If we pull at one end of a thread in the tapestry with our request, the Universe at the other end is pulled in toward us. All of the Universe is at our disposal. I may talk to my angels or guides or people on the other side as I need guidance or help, but everything is part of that Universal energy. We could look up at a tree, a creek, the starry night sky, the full moon or a bird or squirrel and send out our request, knowing we are all part of the same energy.
The Universal Life Force Energy always responds. If we are sending out an SOS, with an absolute deadline, the answer might come more swiftly. If we don’t feel 51% certain that we will receive an answer, it may take some time until we reach that 51%. We lay in gossamer wing after gossamer wing of willingness to believe/trust we will receive until we crest over the 51% threshold. We believe/trust before we see.
I talk to the Universe/my angels and guides all the time. I am answered all the time, although I don’t always realize it. Sometimes all of a sudden I realize, oh! I am having the life I always wanted! Didn’t happen in the way I expected or imagined, and from the outside, it certainly doesn’t look perfect . . . but from in here, if I really accept what has already shown up, life is good. I’ve already received it, but I was a little slow in accepting it. I kept asking, expecting to receive . . . and there I was living it before I even recognized it.
Sometimes the key to receiving is looking around and accepting what has already been given to us. Sometimes, the blessings are disguised a bit. Sometimes, we are so used to being without, we don’t recognize when we are filling up.
Sometimes, we need to let go of our old way of thinking that tells us we are in want and realize we already have. We always have and always are Love, and that Love expresses infinitely, in very visible and earthly ways. How else could Spirit show itself to us in this very earthly plane?
Sometimes, we just need to wake up.
